Fat ladies T'ANG era : These figurines represent ladies of the court, with a moon face and a type of round beauty which was that of famous favorite imperial Yang Kouei Fei who knew a tragic destiny during its escape to the Chou country with the Hinan-Tsong emperor during the revolt of Ngan Lou Chan (756) The  tragic loves history of Siuan-tsong emperor and Yang Kouei-fei is as famous in China as that of Tristan and Yseult in Occident. This emperor of the dynasty T'ang really existed: he reigned on China from 712 to 756, accompanied sixteen years lasting by the “Invaluable wife” Yang Kouei-fei.Very beautiful piece out of terra cotta, mancraft carved. It reproduces with identical this figurine T'ANG of VIIe century.
